Nogal Mesa Ranchman’s Camp Meeting is an annual four day church camp with activities for adults and children alike. This camp may have been started by ranchers in the area over 60 years ago but this church camp is open to everyone! Come and enjoy a wide variety of activities for all ages such as campfires, hayrides, and worship services. This non-denominational church camp is for anyone and everyone ready to praise God in a fun, warm, and loving environment.
Where:
Nogal Mesa, New Mexico. Nogal Mesa Ranchman’s Camp Meeting is just west of where the original Smokey Bear was found in the small town of Capitan, New Mexico and only about 20 miles from where Billy The Kid had his final showdown in Lincoln, New Mexico. When:
Nogal Mesa Ranchman’s Camp Meeting runs the same week every year. Church camp starts the evening of the third Wednesday in July and runs through the following Sunday at noon time.
Cost:
Nogal Mesa Ranchman’s Camp Meeting is FREE but relies on your donations to continue year after year. The cost per day to run Nogal Ranchmen’s Camp Meeting is about $4,600. You can donate all throughout the year.
Registration:
There is no Pre-Registration. However, we do ask that you register your campsite on-site at the registration desk.

Accommodations at Nogal Ranchmen’s Camp Meeting:
There is plenty of room for RVs, campers and tents (no hookups), and there is a centrally located modern restroom trailer.
Just pull your camper or RV into an empty spot and setup!
Accommodations In The Area:
Hotels in the area include the Smokey Bear Motel in Capitan, New Mexico (15 minute drive), or check out one of the several motels in Carrizozo, New Mexico. There are also many options in Ruidoso, New Mexico (45 minute drive away).
RV parks are located all throughout the area surrounding Nogal Mesa Ranchman’s Camp Meeting. You can find these two in Capitan, NM: Mama Bear RV Park and Pinon Hills RV Park and one in Carrizozo, NM: Sands Motel & RV Park. Feel free to do a little homework before coming to church camp to insure you have the best spot for your needs.
Take Note! :
Camp terrain is hilly, so sturdy shoes are strongly recommended. New Mexico monsoon rains bring cool air, so both a rain jacket and warm jacket are highly suggested along with long pants. Pets are not allowed outside your campsite and must be kept on a leash at all times.
